This donghua does not even come close to showing how bloody and brutal each of these fights actually was in the novel. Tan Yun is ruthless to his enemies, even bloodier and more brutal than his enemies...and even more ruthless to his own self. He has no problem putting his body on the line and getting mercilessly tortured and ripped to shreds and winning with sheer willpower and chutzpah...just balls.

Tan Yun has the cultivation knowledge of an immortal deity and knows countless skills of every kind, but he often must fight enemies much stronger than his own self and when he does he calculates his chances of winning meticulously, then sacrifices his body to achieve victory.

I’m slowly getting bored of seeing the same thing every episode. They just do the same shit everyday, literally most of the episodes is just spending it at a school.

Tan Yun is definitely one of my favourite donghua characters but lately the fights seem stiff and boring, and we been here for more than 20+ episodes.

After this he will lead students from Huangfu Sacred Sect into a secret realm and fight against the other two sects, so it should be a bit different.
